STEAM Day 2015
Students at our school participated in a school-wide STEAM Day. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Mathematics education. Moultrie Tech partnered with the fifth grade classes. Fifth grade students built their own working LED circuit board, learned about the health science field, forestry, and performed physical/chemical science experiments. Students at the school had the opportunity to learn about chemical reactions, aeronautics and propulsion, space and astronomy, weather, construction, engineering and other science related topics. Students performed hands on experiments throughout the day to learn about all of the fun things that the field of science has to offer. Students had a great day learning about how to incorporate STEAM into their everyday lives.

Students were treated to an Ice Cream Social for meeting their 3rd quarter reading goal.

Harvey's Reward Key

Our school will receive points from Harvey's supermarket for every purchase when shoppers have their key registered with Norman Park Elementary.
The points that our school earns will help buy extra supplies for students and teachers.  Thanks for your support and a big thanks to Harvey's!

Perfect Attendance Bicycle Winners

Students who had perfect attendance for first and second quarter had their names placed in a drawing to win a bicycle.   The winners were Emarri Corbin, Elizabeth Perez, Skylar Hasty, and Brandon Perez Aparicio.  Congratulations!!!  Special thanks to Wendy's restaurant for donating two of the bicycles.

Pete the Cat

Pete the Cat visited our school and shared some of his books.  Pete taught us to have fun at school and go with the flow because "it's all good".

Thank You, Kiwanis Club!

The Kiwanis Club cooked pancakes for the whole school the last day before Christmas vacation.  The pancakes were delicious.  Everyone enjoyed them.
Thanks Kiwanis Club!

Storybook Pumpkins

Each class decorated a pumpkin to look like their favorite storybook character.  Students voted for their favorite by putting money in a jug beside the pumpkin.  The top three classes that raised the most money received special treats.   All of the money that was collected was given to the Colquitt County United Way.  We raised $4671.39.  Way to go Norman Park!!
